Job Summary

The Researcher / Senior Researcher will conduct applied and advanced research in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) to address customer and industry challenges. The role focuses on developing technology solutions, service designs, and business models, translating research into real-world applications through Proof of Concept (PoC) and stakeholder collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and development activities related to Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), including assessment, modelling, simulation, and predictive analysis.
• Design and develop advanced technology solutions and service concepts that address customer and market needs.
• Develop and validate business models and service design frameworks for CCS-related solutions.
• Plan and execute Proof of Concept (PoC) projects to demonstrate solution feasibility and value in real-world or pilot environments.
• Engage customers and stakeholders to perform requirements gathering, problem analysis, and solution co-creation.
• Prepare technical proposals, solution documentation, presentations, and research reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with global research teams, industry partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and deliver integrated solutions.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, regulatory trends, and industry best practices in carbon management and sustainability.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree or PhD in one of the following or related disciplines: Computer Engineering, Geological Analytics / Geoscience, Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) or related fields, with hands-on exposure to: Assessment and feasibility studies, Modelling and simulation and Data analysis and prediction
• Strong working knowledge of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologies and value chains
• Hands-on experience in one or more of the following: Geological Analysis, Digital MRV (Measurement, Reporting &Verification), Blockchain applications (e.g. traceability, carbon credits, data integrity)
• Familiarity with data modelling, analytics tools, and digital platforms relevant to environmental or energy systems
