🎥 Hatchery Design Studio — Shooter (Videographer)

🚀 Role Overview

We’re looking for a Shooter who can do more than just press record.

At Hatchery, a videographer is expected to:
👉 Capture with intention
👉 Think ahead of the edit
👉 Deliver footage that is clean, usable, and purposeful

You are not here to “just shoot” —
you are here to solve problems on the ground.

🎯 What You’ll Be Doing

• Handle on-site video production (corporate shoots, events, social content)

• Set up camera, audio, and basic lighting independently

• Ensure proper framing, exposure, and audio clarity

• Capture footage with editing in mind (coverage, angles, continuity)

• Manage equipment responsibly (setup, teardown, checks)

• Work closely with editor / director to ensure smooth post-production

🧠 What We’re Looking For

• Experience with mirrorless cameras (Canon preferred)

• Solid understanding of:

  • Composition

  • Lighting basics

  • Audio capture (wireless mic, onboard backup)

• Able to adapt quickly on-site (things will change)

• Knows how to prioritize shots under time pressure

• Physically comfortable with long shoot hours when required

⚠️ What Will Not Work Here

• Waiting for instructions for every shot

• Missing key moments during live events

• Poor handling of audio (this is a dealbreaker)

• “Fix in post” mindset

• Based on experience (Full-time / Freelance options available)
