Job Description
Position: Technical Delivery Manager
Skills Required:
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in implementing and operating large-scale, complex, mission-critical solutions. Key responsibilities include:
Understanding business requirements and translating them into actionable technical plans.
Developing, reviewing, and updating project plans, resource allocations, budgets, and timelines.
Leading discussions on data, design, and solutions with vendors, technology teams, and user groups.
Directly managing technical teams, including developers and technical analysts, with a focus on delivering banking systems and solutions.
Ensuring successful execution and technical delivery of projects within scope, timeline, and budget.
Managing stakeholders and relationships, including escalation, expectation management, conflict resolution, and scope changes.
Partnering with solution and enterprise architects to deliver technical innovations, progressing ideas from concepts to working solutions.
Planning efforts to upgrade, enhance, and maintain systems at supported release levels.
Identifying and proactively managing risks and issues, including financial and operational impacts, with timely escalation when necessary.
Driving testing strategies and managing testing cycles to ensure all critical and high-priority defects are resolved.
Managing relationships across business lines and with external parties to ensure timely delivery of assigned activities.
Organizing and chairing governance meetings, including preparation of materials and minutes.
Ensuring all work deliverables comply with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
Directing offshore teams in day-to-day decision-making and conflict resolution.
Preferred Experience:
Project Support:
Preparing Sprint plans aligned with dependent applications.
Raising, tracking, and following up on impediments during Daily Stand-Ups and Scrum of Scrum meetings.
Coordinating development activities with squad teams according to the sprint plan.
Arranging sprint demos and obtaining approval to move developed user stories to the Testing Phase.
Tracking story points against the sprint plan to achieve planned delivery.
Updating project status for PWG and PWC meetings.
Testing Phase Support:
Reviewing test plans.
Supporting the resolution of issues raised during testing.
Other Relevant Skills:
Experience or knowledge in payment systems.
Knowledge of API technologies, e.g., RESTful APIs, JWT, and Swagger.
Strong and assertive communicator, both verbally and in writing.
