Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greet customers, assist them in locating specific Indian food products (spices, lentils, fresh produce, etc.), provide recommendations, and answer questions about product origins or usage.
• Sales and Cash Handling: Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, handle cash and credit transactions accurately, and process returns or exchanges.
• Inventory Management:Stock shelves and ensure products are properly displayed and priced.Receive, check, and unpack incoming deliveries.Monitor stock levels, check expiration dates, and assist with inventory counts and reordering supplies.Implement "first-in, first-out" (FIFO) rotation systems to minimize waste, particularly for perishable items.
• Store Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout the sales floor, stockroom, and work areas in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Teamwork and Collaboration: Work effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations, particularly during busy hours or seasonal periods.
