Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Strategy: Architect conceptual designs for large-scale Data Centre facilities, focusing on power distribution, thermal management, and N+1/2N redundancy.

• Bid Technical Lead: Drive the technical side of RFP responses and tenders, creating the engineering documentation and schematics needed to win hyperscale contracts.

• Design Governance: Manage the full design lifecycle from concept to IFC (Issued for Construction). Audit the work of external consultants to ensure it meets high-availability standards.

• Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the technical authority in client workshops, translating complex M&E requirements into clear business solutions for stakeholders.

• Execution Oversight: Partner with construction and commissioning teams to ensure the physical build aligns with the original technical design and "constructability" standards.

Requirements

• Domain Expertise: 8+ years in M&E design for mission-critical environments. Led projects with IT loads exceeding 20MW.
• Engineering Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license or Chartered status is highly preferred.
• System Logic: Expert-level knowledge of redundant architectures, high-voltage power systems, and advanced lquid cooling strategies.
• Software Proficiency: Practical experience with Revit (BIM) and AutoCAD. Familiarity with power simulation tools like ETAP or SKM is a strong advantage.
• Project Maturity: Proven ability to manage technical audits and design reviews across all project milestones (Concept through to IFC).
