Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Relief Teacher to step in for regular classroom teachers during absences. The Relief Teacher will follow lesson plans, manage classroom behavior, and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment for students. This role requires flexibility, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to quickly build rapport with students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver lesson plans provided by the regular teacher or create suitable lessons when needed.
• Supervise and manage student behavior in accordance with school policies.
• Ensure a safe and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Maintain attendance and report any incidents or issues to school leadership.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of students.
• Communicate effectively with staff, students, and, when necessary, parents.
• Support school routines, rules, and expectations at all times.
• Be punctual and prepared for all assigned classes or duties.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Education (or relevant teaching qualification).
• Untrained are welcomed to apply
• Prior teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to manage a classroom independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility and willingness to work on short notice.
• Familiarity with the school’s curriculum and policies is an advantage.
