About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Software Engineer with practical SECS/GEM experience to develop equipment connectivity and factory automation software.

This is a coding-focused role involving real-time equipment communication, system integration, APIs and reusable software components.

Core Requirements — Mandatory

• Hands-on experience with SECS/GEM

• Strong C# / .NET development skills

• Experience developing and consuming REST / Web APIs

• Familiar with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar development assistants

• Good understanding of object-oriented design and software architecture

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable working with asynchronous communication, networking and system integration

What You Will Work On

• Develop SECS/GEM equipment interfaces and communication protocols for semiconductor equipment integration

• Connect semiconductor equipment with MES, EAP, databases and factory systems

• Develop backend services and Web APIs using C#/.NET

• Build reusable SDKs, libraries and communication components

• Develop simulators, diagnostic tools and engineering utilities

• Troubleshoot equipment communication and integration issues

• Work directly with customers and engineers to understand equipment behaviour and design suitable integration solutions

Advantageous Experience

Experience in any of the following is a plus:

• GEM300

• Semiconductor equipment or factory automation

• WPF / MVVM

• OPC UA

• PLC communication

• TCP/IP, WebSockets or gRPC

• MES, EAP, SCADA, SPC or RMS systems

• Mitsubishi, Omron, Siemens or Beckhoff PLCs

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics or related disciplines.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who enjoys coding, understands SECS/GEM, and likes solving equipment connectivity problems.
