Key Responsibility Areas
1. Casework & Counselling
- Utilise relevant casework theories into practice
- Engage, assess, provide intervention and evaluate practice
- Assess client’s risks, needs, level of functioning and systemic intervention needed
- Understand youth at risk of juvenile delinquency and manage associated risk and protective factors
- Demonstrate reflective practice
- Conduct outreach and engage client’s family, where applicable, to develop action plans to support the client
- Engage other relevant agencies to support the client holistically and sustainably
- Ensure proper documentation and report-writing
2. Group Work
- Prepare and plan groupwork sessions/intervention
- Implement groupwork intervention effectively
- Evaluate groupwork intervention processes and outcomes, group dynamics and needs
- Respond to the needs of the groups and individuals in groupwork practice
- Able to facilitate group discussions and project work confidently with challenging clients
3. Programme Development and Implementation
- To systematically understand and design sound social work intervention programmes with clear programme logic model/ theory of change
- Deliver programme and conduct outcome-based monitoring to ensure the successful accomplishment of its quantitative and qualitative objectives
- Consider systems dynamics and impact when designing and delivering programme
- Mobilise resources and engage in collaborative work
- Manage programme budget and ensure cost effectiveness
- Ensure proper documentation and report-writing
4. System Linkage, Analysis and Engagement
- Interpret relevant policies / schemes that impact on community and client groups
- Use knowledge of systems and availability of resources to represent clients’ needs so as to formulate assessment
- Empower clients to access needed resources
- Facilitate and initiate collaborative activities with stakeholders
- Conduct systemic-level intervention
5. Stakeholder Partnerships/ Volunteer engagement and development
- Recruit, engage and develop volunteers
- Mobilise volunteers and delegate responsibility
- Provide relevant training/briefing for volunteers
- Maintain positive working relationship with volunteers & program partners
- Build rapport and professional relationships with stakeholders
- Ensure proper documentation and report-writing
6. Evaluation & Research
- Identify current trends
- Gather relevant information for evaluation
- Support in evaluation/research activities
7. Documentation and Report Writing
- Ensure proper filing and documentation
- Ensure that proposals and written reports are clear and concise
- Document and maintain case/programme files and prepare reports according to required documentation standards
- Support in consolidating photographs / videos and other forms of data for yearly reports
8. Administrative and other duties
- Perform administrative duties
- Other duties/projects as assigned
