Key Responsibilities

• Project Coordination & Monitoring
  Coordinate closely with project engineers, clients, and site supervisors to track project progress, ensure alignment with timelines, and proactively address any delays or technical issues to meet scheduled milestones.
• Site Supervision & Inspection
  Supervise daily site activities and conduct regular inspections to ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and required quality and quantity standards. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and site procedures.
• Welding Operations
  Perform high-quality TIG welding as the primary skill, along with arc welding and pipe welding in both workshop and on-site environments. Ensure all welds meet required structural integrity and industry standards.
• Material Preparation & Finishing Works
  Carry out grinding, cutting, and surface preparation works on materials such as iron, stainless steel, and aluminum. Ensure proper finishing to meet project specifications and aesthetic requirements.
• Quality Control & Defect Rectification
  Inspect welded joints, surfaces, and structures to detect defects such as cracks, porosity, or misalignment. Take corrective actions promptly and ensure all rework meets quality standards before final acceptance.
• Resource Planning & Coordination
  Identify requirements for manpower, materials, and equipment in advance. Coordinate with relevant parties to request and mobilize additional resources to ensure smooth project execution and avoid delays.
• Documentation & Reporting
  Maintain accurate records of work progress, inspections, and any defects identified. Provide regular updates and reports to the Project Manager on site status, issues, and corrective actions.
• Compliance & Safety
  Adhere strictly to workplace safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of tools and equipment. Support implementation of site safety measures and risk control procedures.
• Ad-hoc Duties
  Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager or employer to support overall project objectives.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in TIG welding (mandatory), with hands-on experience in precision welding works.
• Knowledge and experience in arc welding and pipe welding will be advantageous.
• Ability to perform welding in multiple positions, including flat, vertical, and overhead.
• Familiarity with different metals such as stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum.

Quality Assurance

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect, evaluate, and ensure high-quality welding workmanship.
• Ability to identify defects and implement effective corrective measures.

Work Attitude & Flexibility

• Responsible, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Willing to take on ad-hoc assignments and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Able to work both on-site and in workshop environments under varying conditions.
