Job Summary

Kids DiscoveryWorks offers unique STEM enrichment programs for pre-school and primary-school children (K-6). We seek enthusiastic and creative individuals to inspire curiosity and deliver hands-on STEM learning experiences as Lead or Assistant Instructors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons using the STEM curriculum to introduce grade-appropriate science and engineering concepts that spark curiosity and excitement in students
• Facilitate and coach students through hands-on STEM activities and experiments to enhance understanding and engagement
• Collaborate with instructors and co-workers to maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment that supports program success and continuous improvement
• Monitor and assess each child’s learning progress and provide constructive feedback to curriculum developers and parents to support student development
• Communicate effectively with parents and students to build positive relationships and support student learning
• Manage classroom behavior and routines to ensure a well-organized and productive learning space
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of centres and classrooms to uphold hygiene standards

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Passion for engaging children in learning and fostering curiosity
• Strong organizational skills demonstrated by managing lesson plans and classroom activities efficiently
• Effective communication and facilitation skills applied in public speaking and student coaching
• Detail-oriented and reliable in preparing materials and managing classroom logistics
• Positive attitude and outgoing disposition that encourages student participation
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word to prepare teaching materials and reports
• Prior experience working with young children, enhancing ability to connect and support diverse learners
