Job Summary
Create innovative dishes and design menus to enhance dining experiences. Lead and manage kitchen operations and staff, control inventory and costs, and ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards to maintain high-quality service.
Responsibilities
- Create innovative dishes, design menus, and develop recipes to enhance the dining experience
- Oversee daily kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain high-quality standards
- Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff to foster a collaborative and safe work environment
- Schedule staff shifts and delegate tasks to ensure efficient kitchen workflow
- Order supplies and manage inventory to maintain adequate stock levels and reduce waste
- Manage budgets and calculate food costs to ensure profitability
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation guidelines, and health and safety policies
- Liaise with suppliers to negotiate costs and maintain ingredient quality standards
- Collaborate with the general manager to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Monitor ingredient freshness and quality to meet established standards
- Resolve operational issues promptly to maintain kitchen efficiency and service quality
