Job Description

• Review quality assurance work processes to enhance efficiency and productivity
• Guide trainees and industrial attachment trainees “on the job training” during their attachment
• Perform specific inspection and related activities in compliance with class / client requirements
• Prepare reports and submit to Engineer and coordinate with production QC on status of inspection
• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of product non-conformities
• Identify and record any product quality problem and ensure respective QAPs are used in the work
• Coordinate with Non-Destructive Testing Inspector on Project Non-Destructive Testing status
• Monitor the fabrication progress of piping / structure
• Ensure that all standard operating procedures comply with specifications, quality standards, statutory and regulatory requirements
• Any other assigned duties and responsibilities

Job Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Marine and Offshore or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experiences in shipbuilding / oil and gas / offshore projects as QA/QC Structural Inspector.
• Working in FPSO/FSO/FPU Project will be added advantage.
• Shall be familiar with AWS D1.1, API 2X, ASME Section II, and ABS Class rules.
• Certified Welding Inspector (AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1)
• NDT Level II in RT/UT/MPI/PT

Working Hours:

Monday - Thursday: 8:00am – 5:15pm

Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
