Music Teacher - Vocals / Piano / Guitar (Kids/Teens)

Joy Music Studio is an established music school in Marine Parade. We’re looking fora warm and engaging music teachers who can teach individual and group lessons, support student performances, and contribute actively to department programmes, workshops and camps.

Teaching Commitment

• Part-time or Full-time arrangements available
• Teaching hours (Weekdays 2-8pm, Weekends 9am-6pm)
• Full-time teachers act as team leads for their departments

Students and Programs You’ll Teach

• Vocals/Instruments: Primary/Secondary students, Beginners to Grade 8 (1 to 1, small group formats)
• Music Explorer: Small group class for ages 4–6 (training provided)
• Camps/Workshops: 7-14 years old

Compensation

• Salaried or Commission-based arrangements can be considered (details shared during interview).

What We’re Looking For

• Diploma or Degree in primary instrument (or equivalent professional training/experience)
• Grade 5 Music Theory Certificate and above
• 1+ year teaching experience, especially with kids and teens
• Comfortable teaching up to Grade 8 exam levels across ABRSM / Trinity / Rockschool curriculums
• Comfortable teaching classical and contemporary genres
• Confident and proactive in guiding parents on progress and goals
• Highly punctual and reliable, consistent attendance is essential

Nice-To-Have

• Able to teach a 2nd Instrument - Piano, Guitar, Drums - Diploma or Grade 8 ABRSM/Rockschool/Trinity
• Experience preparing DSA auditions/portfolios is a plus
