Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Executive to oversee our day-to-day import/export operations and supply chain coordination.
In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring operational efficiency, managing documentation, and maintaining accurate inventory records. You will work closely with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and authorities to ensure a seamless flow of goods, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in global trade and logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management: Manage daily logistics operations for both import and export, including forecasting and full documentation support.
- Process Optimization: Continuously review and improve operational procedures to drive higher efficiency and achieve cost savings.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare logistics freight and warehouse cost forecasts, conduct KPI analysis, and provide regular reports to management.
- Compliance: Identify and determine correct HS codes for spare parts and machinery; communicate with competent authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Inventory Control: Reconcile month-end inventory reports from the internal system against 3PL warehouse stock-take reports.
- Financial Administration: Verify and process freight forwarder invoices to ensure timely payment confirmation.
- Goods Receiving: Manage indirect material goods receiving (System GRN) for manufacturing spare parts.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience is preferred; however, fresh graduates are welcome to apply and will be considered based on potential.
- Languages: Proficiency in both English and Chinese is required to facilitate communication with various stakeholders and partners in the Greater China region.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing/logistics environment.
Required Qualifications
- Possess at least a Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Skills and Competencies
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with trade and customs compliance (HS codes, import/export regulations).
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data for forecasting and KPI reporting.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for negotiating with vendors and collaborating with authorities.
- Software Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Knowledge of Oracle Warehouse Management System (WMS) is a significant advantage.
- Mindset: A positive, solution-oriented attitude with a keen eye for detail.
