Job Description
Role Overview:
As an IAM Engineer (Development Lead), you will lead the design, build, and implementation of IAM systems, ensuring they meet organizational objectives while addressing evolving cybersecurity threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and execution of Proof-of-Concept (PoC) / Proof-of-Value (PoV) initiatives for Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend enhancements to existing IAM architecture to address cybersecurity risks related to identity, access, and entitlements.
- Align IAM strategies with business objectives and IT requirements, ensuring they reflect the organization’s risk tolerance and compliance standards.
- Develop and maintain integrated IAM operating models and technical documentation to drive operational efficiency, scalability, and sustainability.
- Serve as the subject matter expert in IAM, collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders on cybersecurity engineering and governance initiatives.
- Oversee IAM project delivery by leading virtual and cross-functional teams, ensuring timely and successful implementation of solutions.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Proven 5+ years’ experience in designing and implementing IAM security solutions.
- Strong understanding of authentication and authorization concepts in various environments (on-premises and cloud).
- Proficient in IAM standards and protocols and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Scripting and programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.
- Experience with IAM solutions in cloud environments.
- Ability to produce detailed design documents and provide regular updates.
- Relevant professional qualifications and certifications in information security (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CEH) and IAM-related certifications (e.g. SailPoint, CyberArk) are desirable.
- Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
- Experience consulting with stakeholders on project design and progress.
