Job Summary

A well-established A1 construction firm is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its finance function and oversee IPO preparation and execution. This strategic leadership role requires strong financial acumen, industry-specific knowledge, and familiarity with Singapore's listing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full spectrum of financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and reporting.
• Drive IPO readiness and manage the entire listing process, from due diligence to submission of regulatory documentation.
• Ensure compliance with SGX, MAS, and relevant statutory and regulatory frameworks.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders including auditors, lawyers, consultants, and investment banks.
• Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and corporate governance policies in line with listing requirements.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with SFRS/IFRS.
• Oversee tax planning and ensure compliance with Singapore tax regulations.
• Support project accounting and financial evaluations in collaboration with commercial and project teams.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high standards of financial reporting and compliance.
• Provide financial insights and reports to support decision-making by senior leadership and the board.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CA/CPA qualification is preferred.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in a senior finance role within the construction or contracting industry.
• Proven experience in IPO preparation or listing on SGX is essential.
• Strong understanding of SFRS/IFRS, SGX listing requirements, and Singapore tax regulations.
