Job Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting activities handled by the GL, AR, and AP team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing, management reporting, consolidation, and balance sheet reviews.
• Oversee inventory accounting, costing, stock provisions, cash flow, and working capital management.
• Coordinate statutory audits, tax matters, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
• Work closely with Department Heads to prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and operational targets.
• Analyse financial performance against budgets, identify key variances, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Monitor key revenue and cost drivers and provide financial insights to support profitability, efficiency, and business decisions.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial information across the organisation.
• Support the preparation of management, board, and investor reports, including relevant financial analysis and business insights.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, strengthen internal controls, and enhance reporting systems and tools.
• Lead and develop a small finance team while providing hands-on support across finance and accounting activities.

Job Requirement

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably with exposure to a commercial or operational environment.
• Strong hands-on experience in financial reporting, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Good knowledge of inventory accounting, costing, internal controls, statutory compliance, and audit processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling skills with good attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Independent, proactive, and comfortable managing a small finance team in a hands-on capacity.
