What you'll be doing

Maintenance and Infrastructure Oversight

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other essential infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of building assets and reduce downtime.

Vendor and Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with external contractors and service providers to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and on schedule.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and ensure compliance with service-level agreements.

Sustainability and Energy Efficiency

  • Monitor and optimise energy consumption across all properties.
  • Implement and support sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact and operating costs.

Tenant Relations and Service Delivery

  • Respond promptly and professionally to tenant requests and complaints.
  • Foster a positive tenant experience through reliable facilities support and proactive issue resolution.

Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure all facilities operations comply with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Budgeting and Financial Management

  • Prepare and manage budgets related to facilities-related expenses.
  • Track and report on expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities where applicable.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Liaise with property owners and senior management teams to provide regular operational updates, strategic recommendations, and facilities performance reports.

What we're looking for

Educational Background

  • Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in facilities management, preferably within the real estate or property management sector.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), maintenance protocols, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Problem-Solving Ability

  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions, prioritise tasks effectively, and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.

Technology Proficiency

  • Skilled in the use of facilities management software and data analysis tools to drive operational efficiency.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Safety & Sustainability Focus
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental sustainability practices.
