SOC Analyst (Associate)

Recruit123 is helping our client to hire a SOC Analyst (Associate) to join their cybersecurity/security operations team.

Our client is a Singapore-based organization looking for a motivated SOC Analyst (Associate) to join their Security Operations Center, monitoring and responding to security events to protect the organization's IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security alerts and events across SIEM, EDR, and other security tools on a 24/7 shift rotation basis
• Perform initial triage, investigation, and classification of security incidents and alerts
• Escalate confirmed incidents to senior analysts/incident response teams following established procedures
• Conduct basic log analysis to identify potential threats, anomalies, or indicators of compromise (IOCs)
• Document incidents, investigation findings, and remediation actions accurately in ticketing/case management systems
• Support vulnerability management activities, including scanning and basic reporting
• Assist in maintaining and fine-tuning SIEM correlation rules and alert thresholds to reduce false positives
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and playbooks for incident detection and response
• Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques
• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and continuous training to build up technical skills

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 0–2 years of experience in a SOC, cybersecurity, or IT security role; fresh graduates with relevant certifications/internships welcome to apply
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs) and common attack vectors
• Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel) and EDR solutions an advantage
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, or equivalent) a plus, though not mandatory
• Willing to work rotating shifts, including nights/weekends, to support 24/7 SOC coverage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Good communication skills, able to document and escalate findings clearly
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the cybersecurity field
