Job Responsibilities

• Develop, verify, and optimise CNC programs using CAM software for precision machining applications.
• Support machine setup, parameter tuning, tooling selection, and first-article inspection.
• Troubleshoot production issues including dimensional variation, surface finish, tool wear, and cycle time.
• Support multi-axis machining and turn-mill operations, ensuring processes meet quality and production requirements.
• Participate in DFM reviews and provide recommendations to improve manufacturability, cost, yield, and production efficiency.
• Create and maintain product BOMs and manufacturing routings within ERP systems.
• Support FMEA, Control Plan updates, SPC monitoring, and other process quality activities.
• Maintain process documentation, FAIRs, SOPs, and relevant manufacturing records.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to support NPI, process improvements, and production optimisation.
• Provide hands-on support on the shop floor, including machine setup and production troubleshooting when required.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in CNC programming and precision machining, preferably with exposure to Swiss-type CNC machines and mass production.
• Experience with CAMWorks and/or NX for multi-axis programming and post-processing is preferred.
• Good ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
• Solid knowledge of turn-mill operations, tooling selection, machining parameters, and troubleshooting.
• Practical experience in DFM is preferred, with knowledge of FMEA, Control Plans, and SPC being an advantage.
• Experience creating BOMs and manufacturing routings using ERP or business management systems is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with common engineering materials and cutting tools.
• Willing to work hands-on in a shop-floor environment and support shift operations when required.
• Self-motivated, practical, and willing to learn new software, processes, and systems.
