Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Release & Deployment Engineer with deep domain expertise in Aldon Lifecycle Manager (LMi) to drive enterprise change management and software release governance within the banking sector. In this role, you will act as the crucial bridge between development and infrastructure teams, orchestrating complex deployment lifecycles for core banking systems.

What you'll do:

• While your core focus centres on release engineering and Aldon governance, familiarity with Java and JBoss environments is preferred to effectively manage enterprise codebases, build artefacts, and test deployments.
• You will own and manage Aldon LMi configurations, migration paths, software change packages, and version control structures across all environments.
• Your responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and executing end-to-end release deployments, emergency fixes, and patches for core banking and enterprise applications while streamlining build processes and automating packaging.
• You will oversee build artefacts such as JAR, WAR, and EAR files, coordinate with development teams to resolve build failures or configuration bottlenecks on JBoss application servers, and support QA test deployment cycles to ensure environment parity.
• Additionally, you will enforce strict change management, segregation of duties, and audit-ready release documentation aligned with rigorous banking regulatory standards.

What You'll Need

• Candidates must possess at least 5 years of IT experience, with a heavy emphasis on software build, release engineering, and change management within the banking or financial services sector.
• Extensive, hands-on experience configuring and administering Aldon Lifecycle Manager (LMi) for enterprise release management is required.
• A strong background in software configuration management, branching strategies, and source code control is essential.
• Proven experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure, including server provisioning, environment monitoring, middleware hosting, and troubleshooting deployment-related networking or system bottlenecks.
• Working knowledge of Java build frameworks (such as Maven and Ant) along with the ability to debug deployment artefacts is preferred.
• Familiarity with JBoss EAP infrastructure and deploying applications to middleware servers is required.
• A solid grasp of Linux/Unix shell scripting, CI/CD pipeline principles, and secure deployment protocols is necessary.
• Strong soft skills, including close attention to detail, the ability to handle high-pressure release windows and cutovers, and excellent stakeholder management skills, are required.
