We are seeking Sessional Lecturers with a track record of effective teaching and experience in the field of Special and Inclusive Education Early Childhood Specialisation.
Dutiesand responsibilities include, but are not limited to teaching and/or tutoring one or more of the following courses:
1) Supporting Communication Skills
(Part-time Program)

This course provides students with knowledge about typical and atypical language development including the pre-intentional and intentional non-verbal communication stages. It also focuses on developing knowledge of strategies to promote receptive and expressive language skills, the use of augmentative andalternative communication systems to support the social, linguistic and cognitive development of children who may be at risk for being unintelligible or non-speaking.
2) Contemporary Issues in Early Childhood Intervention
(Part-time program)

This course explores contemporary and popularised issues that are prevalent in the fields of both inclusive preschool education and early intervention services for infants and young children with disabilities. It seeks to provide knowledge and understanding of emerging evidence-based practices.
3) Social-Emotional Learning and Positive Behaviour Support for children 0-5 years
(Part-time program)

This course provides knowledge about the typical stages of young children's social and emotional development and about the functions underlying challenging behaviour. It equips students with the skills to interpret children's behaviour in the context of their environments as well as their cognitive, social and emotional development and to develop responsive strategies to support children's positive behaviour and the acquisition of social and emotionalskills.
Selection Criteria
PhD or Master's Degree (with at least 5 years of Relevant Experience) in Special and Inclusive Education Early Childhood specialisation or a closely-related discipline
Evidence of lecturing skills and a commitment to the delivery of high-quality teaching
Ability to work cooperatively with academic and professional staff
Willingness to contribute effectively as a member of a cohesive team
