Job Summary

The Senior Assistant Director will lead the management of a healthcare-related charitable fund that supports patient care, community programmes, education, quality improvement, and research initiatives.

Reporting directly to senior leadership, this role oversees grant management, fundraising strategies, donor engagement, financial governance, and regulatory compliance. The position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership
• Drive strategies to ensure long-term financial sustainability
• Lead and manage a small team overseeing grant administration, donor management, and compliance
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership and the governing board

Fundraising & Donor Management
• Develop and implement fundraising and donor engagement strategies
• Build and maintain strong relationships with donors and stakeholders
• Identify and develop new funding opportunities

Governance & Financial Oversight
• Oversee management of donations, reserves, and cash flow
• Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and regulatory requirements
• Oversee grant applications and external funding opportunities
• Partner with Finance to monitor financial performance and investment strategies
• Conduct risk reviews and ensure proper policy and audit compliance

Requirements

• Degree in Business, Finance, Public Administration or related field
• Experience in grant management, fundraising, or governance roles
