Department: Youth & Community Development

Tenure: 2-year contract

We are seeking a Youth Engagement Officer to support youth engagement, programme delivery and outreach initiatives.

The role involves planning and facilitating youth programmes, collaborating with stakeholders, and supporting youth development initiatives within a mosque setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implement youth engagement programmes and activities
• Conduct outreach and engagement with youth, including underserved groups
• Facilitate youth sessions, discussions, and basic religious sharing
• Support engagement of @LIVE students into youth development pathways
• Assist in the development and implementation of the Fityan Academy programmes
• Collaborate with schools, community partners, volunteers and parents
• Support departmental operations, events, and administrative reporting

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Islamic Studies or related field will be an advantage
• Able to engage youth with professionalism, empathy and maturity
• Able to facilitate youth programmes and discussions independently
• Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders in English and/or Malay
• Strong organisational and coordination skills
• Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Familiar with digital platforms and social media
• Willing to work evenings and weekends
• Passionate about supporting community programmes and contributing to meaningful, purpose-driven work in a mosque setting.
