We are a high-tech farm nestled on a rooftop in the heart of Singapore. As a highly energetic start-up in a fast growing industry, we are passionate to look for ways to make our everyday urban lives greener and more sustainable. We started up the company to bring together our neighbourhood community to share this common vision and progress towards our goal together.

As one of the winners of the first-ever HDB rooftop tenders for urban farming, we are excited to play our part in our journey towards Singapore’s 30 x 30 vision on food security. Our Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) based hydroponic farm uses our own innovative growing systems and energy-efficient techniques. This allows us to stay true to our goal of producing fresher, pesticide-free and tastier produce in a sustainable manner and closer to our community.

Job Responsibilities

The Urban Farm Supervisor will be an instrumental addition to our team working directly with the founder to get our farm growing! The role entails overall management of the farm’s operations, including but not limited to:

·      Manage all operational attributes from production planning, crop scheduling, inventory management, pest management, logistics etc., through farm management software

·      Recruit, manage and train a team of growers to ensure appropriate staffing across various farm activities and that the Standard Operating Procedures are followed

·      Achieve production and operational targets

·      Perform regular monitoring of produce quality and report any incidents

·      Proactively recommend process and efficiency improvements

·      Lead farm tours and workshops organized at the farm to build awareness towards sustainable farming in an inclusive and fun environment

Requirements

The requirements are:

·      Dynamic and entrepreneurial individual with the ability to play an active role in the development of the farm

·      Minimum three years experience in the agriculture space (hydroponics or soil-based)

·      Diploma/ Degree in Agriculture or related fields

·      Passion for urban farming and engaging the community to promote a sustainable and healthier lifestyle

·      Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools

·      Includes working in outdoor/greenhouse environment

Working hours: 8 hours per day, 5.5 day working week

Salary: $2,200-2,500 per month depending on experience
