About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Trade Operation Executive to support our commodity trading activities.

The role covers full-cycle trade operations, including shipping coordination, trade documentation, payment handling, and cross-functional communication with commercial, finance, and compliance teams.

• Position: Trade Operation Executive (Commodities Trading)
• Location: Central area
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

1. Trade Documentation & Shipping Support

• Handle full sets of import/export documents (B/L, COO,COA, Invoices, etc.)
• Prepare and submit documents for L/C application andbank negotiation
• Ensure timely and compliant dispatch of shipping instructions and full sets
• Maintain proper documentation filing and transaction records

2. Logistics & Scheduling Coordination

• Liaise with suppliers, buyers, surveyors, and shipping lines
• Track cargo movement, loading/unloading, and vessel schedules
• Support laytime calculation and demurrage/dispatch negotiations

3. Finance & Trade Compliance Support

• Monitor supplier payments and customer receivables
• Work with Finance on trade accruals and hedge volume reconciliation
• Ensure compliance with Incoterms 2020, UCP600, and internal SOPs

4. Internal Operations & Reporting

• Maintain trade data and shipping updates in internal system
• Assist with monthly closing and report preparation
• Support Operations Manager and Traders on contract execution

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Business, Logistics, Maritime, or relevant fields
• 2–3 years’ experience in commodity trading operations preferred
• Familiar with trade documents, Incoterms 2020, LC / UCP600 standards
• Basic knowledge of laytime and demurrage is a plus
• Detail-oriented, reliable, able to meet tight deadlines
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Proficient in English; Mandarin preferred (to liaise with Chinese-speaking counterparts)
• Willingness to travel and attend events beyond working hours
