Job Summary

Kerry Consulting is hiring an experienced Test Engineering professional to drive equipment performance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives within a high-volume backend environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to improve Equipment Availability and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by conducting Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), performing engineering evaluations, implementing automation, and driving continuous improvement projects.
• Manage test floor operations by overseeing new tester, handler, and prober setup, qualification, validation, and resolving technical issues to consistently meet output and quality targets.
• Analyze equipment performance data to identify root causes of failures, implement corrective actions, and reduce equipment-induced yield losses.
• Coordinate hardware and software changes, maintain documentation control, optimize spare parts strategy, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless equipment operations.
• Develop and deploy monitoring tools to enhance productivity and operational visibility.
• Coach and train technicians to build engineering capabilities and support productivity improvements.

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in semiconductor backend test equipment engineering or maintenance.
• Hands-on experience operating and maintaining Advantest, Teradyne, and Cohu testers, turret/Pick-and-Place handlers, probers, and post-test systems.
• Strong analytical skills applied to equipment performance data within fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• Project management skills to lead equipment improvement initiatives and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Knowledge of Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
• Experience with Python programming for automation and data analysis.
