Candidate Profile:

• Degree /Master's in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline
• 10-15 years of working experience in automation machines design
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin to work closely with colleagues in the China HQ
• Strong technical background in semiconductor-related equipment development involving ultra-high precision, high-speed mechanisms
• Possess good technical drawing skills using either Creo/SolidWorks
• Knowledge in semiconductor packaging and assembly processes
• Experienced as a Technical leader with good project management skills
• Excellent systematic problem-solving ability using 8D report, Ishikawa, DIVE or other tools
• Good leadership abilities and able to coach, motivate & guide direct reports, including conflict resolution

Core Responsibilities:

Leadership & Product Development

• Leading design engineering teams through the complete product lifecycle, from individual modules to full machine systems
• Driving continuous improvement programs (CIP) to extend product viability and boost profitability

Technical Execution

• Conducting reliability and feasibility testing
• Performing design and drawing reviews
• Managing technical documentation and BOMs (Bill of Materials)

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Supporting sales teams with technical specifications, cost analysis, and product evaluations
• Participating in project meetings with constructive input
• Coordinating between Singapore and China manufacturing operations

Customer-Facing Technical Support

• Resolving field issues and customer complaints
• Taking ownership of product performance at customer sites
• Handling both sales and service inquiries

Product Ownership

• Specifically responsible for the mechanical aspects of sorters, laser marking, and scanning products post-R&D handover
