🚀 About the Role EU Holidays is building a proprietary, cloud-native Core Travel Agency Platform to power our next phase of digital transformation. This is not a maintenance role.

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead / System Architect who can design, build, and scale an integrated enterprise platform covering:

• ERP (Operations & Finance)
• CRM (Sales & Customer Management)
• POS & Booking Systems
• Data & Reporting Layer
• API & Integration Framework
• AI-enabled capabilities (forecasting, automation, personalization)

You will own the technical architecture and engineering standards of a mission-critical system that will support regional expansion.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Engineering

• Design end-to-end system architecture (application, data, infrastructure)
• Define microservices / modular architecture strategy
• Architect scalable, secure cloud-native solutions (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Establish API-first integration framework
• Define data models and governance standards
• Design high-availability and disaster recovery strategy

Technical Leadership

• Lead and mentor in-house developers
• Review code and enforce engineering best practices
• Define CI/CD pipelines and DevOps standards
• Evaluate and challenge vendor technical proposals
• Drive performance, security, and scalability improvements

Enterprise Integration

• Lead migration from legacy systems
• Integrate third-party systems (payment gateways, airlines, hotels, accounting systems)
• Ensure consistency across ERP, CRM, POS and finance modules

Strategic Technology Direction

• Recommend build vs buy decisions
• Define long-term technical roadmap
• Introduce AI/ML capabilities where appropriate

🧠 Required Experience

• 6–12 years in software engineering
• 3+ years designing enterprise system architecture
• Strong experience building large-scale systems (ERP / CRM / POS / booking / enterprise platforms)
• Hands-on experience with:

1. Java / .NET / Python (at least one strong backend stack)
2. RESTful APIs
3. SQL & database design
4. Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
5. DevOps & CI/CD

• Experience leading developers (not just vendors)

• Experience in travel, hospitality, or booking systems
• Experience with financial systems or accounting integrations
• Event-driven architecture (Kafka / message queues)
