Technical Business Analyst – AI, Data & Automation

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst who operates comfortably at the intersection of application services, AI, data analytics, cloud, automation, and backend integration. This role requires hands-on experience, not conceptual familiarity.

The successful candidate will actively work with data, AI-enabled solutions, cloud platforms, automation tools, and Node.js-based services, while partnering closely with business stakeholders and delivery teams to shape and deliver practical, outcome-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities – Business & Application Analysis

·      Work directly with business stakeholders to understand application workflows, operational pain points, and improvement opportunities

·      Analyse existing applications and services to identify optimization, automation, and AI enablement opportunities

·      Translate business needs into clear, actionable functional and technical requirements

·      Actively shape solution options in collaboration with delivery teams

Key Responsibilities – Data, Analytics & AI (Hands-on)

·      Work hands-on with data to support analytics, insights, and AI-enabled use cases

·      Support and contribute directly to AI-enabled initiatives, including predictive analytics, workflow optimisation, decision support, and Generative AI use cases such as knowledge retrieval, summarisation, and RAG-based solutions

·      Perform data preparation, validation of outputs, and integration of AI capabilities into business and application workflows

·      Ensure AI and analytics outputs are relevant, explainable, and aligned to business intent

Key Responsibilities – Cloud & AWS (Depth Required)

·      Work with delivery teams on AWS-based applications and data platforms

·      Engage with cloud architecture, service configurations, integrations, and dependencies

·      Contribute to discussions on scalability, security, performance, and cost optimization

·      Hands-on AWS experience is required; surface-level or purely theoretical exposure is insufficient

Key Responsibilities – Automation & Backend Integration

·      Identify and design opportunities for process and workflow automation

·      Design and build Power Automate flows, including triggers and integrations

·      Support automation across Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Apps, and data sources

·      Work with Node.js-based services for API integrations, middleware logic, or backend support

·      Ability to read, modify, and develop lightweight Node.js services to support application workflows

Delivery & Quality

·      Work closely with project managers, developers, and architects throughout delivery

·      Support Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models

·      Support UAT planning, execution, and defect resolution

·      Perform impact analysis for changes and enhancements

·      Ensure alignment with security, data governance, and compliance standards

Required Experience & Capability

·      5–8 years of experience in Business Analysis or similar technical roles

·      Strong background in application services and platform-based solutions

·      Demonstrated hands-on experience with AI, data, cloud, automation, and backend integrations

·      Comfortable operating in delivery environments where outcomes matter more than documentation
