Job Description
Role Purpose
We are seeking a versatile IT professional to fill a hybrid role that combines Deskside Support and System Engineering. The successful candidate will split their time between providing high-touch technical support for our 60-person Singapore office and collaborating with the Group Headquarters to implement and maintain systems and infrastructure. This role requires a unique blend of "hands-on" hardware skills and "high-level" system administration capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Part 1: Deskside Support & Local Operations (20%)
User Support: Act as the primary on-site point of contact for 60 staff members, providing professional technical assistance via email, remote tools, or in-person.
Identity & Access: Manage the full user lifecycle in Active Directory and Microsoft 365, including MFA configuration and password resets.
Hardware & Asset Lifecycle:
Manage the complete asset inventory and conduct regular audits.
Perform hands-on hardware repairs and upgrades (RAM/SSD).
Coordinate procurement and delivery for the Malaysia office and other regional branches.
AV & Executive Support: Maintain all meeting room equipment and provide real-time technical stability for high-priority executive meetings and town halls.
Documentation: Create and maintain user manuals for local services (Wi-Fi, VPN, Printers).
Part 2: System & Cloud Engineering (80%)
HQ Collaboration: Act as the local execution arm for the Group HQ Cloud Team, helping deploy and manage systems across the region.
Cloud Administration: Assist in the administration of cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud), including resource monitoring and configuration.
Endpoint & Security Management:
Ensure all endpoints are compliant with Group Policy and joined to the AD.
Deploy and maintain Anti-Virus/EDR agents and perform regular vulnerability scans.
Coordinate with HQ on security incident response and threat mitigation.
Server & Infrastructure Maintenance:
Perform regular server updates, patching, and performance tuning.
Manage virtual machines (VMs) and cloud storage solutions as directed by HQ.
Compliance Audit: Physically and digitally audit workstations to ensure no unauthorized software/hardware is present.
Job Requirements
Education: Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Graduates from Singaporean Polytechnics/Institutions are highly preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience. Must have a proven track record in both end-user support and system/server administration.
Technical Proficiency:
Support: Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac OS, Microsoft 365, and hardware troubleshooting.
Systems: Practical experience with Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), and Virtualization.
Cloud: Foundational knowledge of Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS). Relevant certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104) are a significant advantage.
Security: Experience with EDR tools, vulnerability scanning, and endpoint security.
Soft Skills:
Adaptability: Ability to switch mindsets from "fixing a printer" (Deskside) to "configuring a cloud resource" (System Engineer).
Independence: Capable of managing a 60-person office alone while reporting effectively to a remote HQ team.
Communication: Strong English skills for technical reporting and coordination with HQ
