Student Welfare Officer

Contract Duration: 10 months (with option to extend for another year)

Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:30pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)

• Friday: 7:00am – 4:00pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)

• No service required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide timely and appropriate support to students experiencing distress and facilitate peer support programmes.

• Monitor student welfare needs and progress, maintaining accurate and confidential case records.

• Assist with referrals to relevant community and specialist services and prepare required reports.

• Support and participate in school-wide programmes related to mental health, anti-bullying, and student resilience.

• Engage parents and caregivers, and connect families with suitable community resources.

• Assist with school events, prepare statistical and administrative reports, and contribute actively to team discussions.

Requirements

• Minimum GCE O-Level or equivalent qualification.

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a school or education-related setting.

• Experience supporting students with additional or special educational needs will be an advantage.

• Strong communication, organisational, administrative, and record-keeping skills.
