Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
· To lead initiatives that create business and resource synergies with Japan Post and its affiliated companies to optimize resources and to enhance efficiency
· Engaging in efforts to mutually complement customer bases, promote the shared use of vehicles and facilities, and facilitate the exchange of personnel to share technology and know-how worldwide with Japan Post’s logistics-related companies as a representative of Toll
· To support regional business planning as well as corporate business planning
· To ensure alignment of divisional strategies with corporate objectives
· To act as a strategic advisor to senior managements of Toll Group and Japan Post
· To convey business policy, strategy, requirement, and instruction given by Japan Post to Toll senior management and support vital communication between Japan Post and Toll
· To support planning the group strategy, such as corporate restructuring, cost control, cash management, etc., while considering the interests of the shareholder
· To support executing and performing and to monitor the progress of the planned group strategy
· To report financial performance/profitable information for the shareholder to conduct the important business judgement by grasping and analyzing the progress of Toll group’s financial initiatives
· To provide financial assessments and information to local and global management to establish new business and expansion programs
· To prepare proposals and initiatives to support business expansion and new business ventures
· To monitor market trends for market development and expansion activities
· To liaise with industry associations, government representatives, and related entities within Japan Post group
· To identify new sales opportunities, particularly for current customers of Japan Post Group and Japanese businesses by representing Toll Group throughout the sales process
· To create and develop the sales business strategies for further growth of Toll’s business with Japan Post and its affiliated companies
· To monitor and manage the sales performance of Toll Group with using KPI and/or other index
· To retain existing businesses of Toll Group by closely managing the relationship with clients with a focus on Global Logistics and Global Forwarding business at Toll Group
· To analyse competitors’ activity
· To communicate with Japan Post to further develop broader understanding of Toll’s business and service offerings
Requirements:
Mandatory:
- Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent employment experience
- Extensive managerial training at senior leadership level
- Sound English skill (written and oral)
- Knowledge on business and operations run by Japan Post in Japan
- Working experience in logistics/transport industry
- Sound level of Japanese language skill (written and oral)
