Our esteemed client in the IT industry is seeking a Software Engineer (Frontend / Backend) to join their dynamic team:

• Employment Type: 1-year renewable contract
• Position: Software Engineer (Frontend / Backend)
• Location: Central (Nearest MRT: City Hall)
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6pm
• Salary Package: Basic + Bonus + Medical Benefits

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and deploy software solutions that support government digital services and citizen-facing platforms.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications and infrastructure by monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing fixes.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high standards of code quality, security, and system performance.
• Collaborate closely with UX designers and cross-functional teams to deliver user-centric and service-oriented digital products.

Job Requirements:

• Preferably 3 years of experience building modern web applications using JavaScript.
• Proven experience in frontend development using React.js.
• Experience in backend development with Go and/or Node.js is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with automated testing using JavaScript testing frameworks/ libraries such as Karma, Mocha, Chai, and Sinon is an advantage.
• Experience working with both relational and non-relational databases, including data management across different environments.
• Exposure to Docker, CI/CD pipeline setup, and cloud deployment (e.g., AWS, PaaS platforms, or private servers) is a bonus.
• Experience with SDLC within an Agile environment is an added advantage.
• Experience in Scrum would be a plus point.
