Role
The Social Worker at CWA plays a pivotal role in championing the well-being of family caregivers for Seniors.
This is a dynamic role that blends social work practice with program innovation. You will provide holistic support through case management and supportive counselling, while simultaneously driving new initiatives and research to address the evolving needs of the caregiving community.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Social Work Practice & Case Management

• Assessment: Conduct comprehensive psycho-social and basic financial assessments for family caregivers and their seniors.
• Intervention: Provide supportive counselling, para-counselling and clinical interventions tailored to the unique stressors of caregiving.
• Outreach: Conduct home and hospital visits to assess environments and provide on-ground support where necessary.

2. Program Development & Research

• Innovation: Lead project work for new initiatives that align with CWA’s mission to enhance caregiver welfare.
• Needs Analysis: Participate in research and needs-based studies to identify emerging trends and gaps in the eldercare/caregiver sector.
• Execution: Propose, develop, and implement evidence-based programs designed to create a meaningful impact on clients' lives.

3. Group Work & Advocacy

• Facilitation: Plan and lead caregiver support groups and therapeutic group work sessions.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison with community partners, government agencies, and healthcare organisations to build a robust support network for caregivers.

Requirements

Education
Degree or Graduate Diploma in Social Work.

Experience
Minimum 3 years in the social service sector (Senior care or caregiver support experience is highly preferred).

Technical Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Bilingual proficiency is preferred to communicate effectively with diverse client profiles.

Core Mindset
A passion for caregiver advocacy; comfortable working with seniors when required, though the primary focus remains on the caregiver.
