Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver complex, large-scale projects within the logistics domain. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving end-to-end project execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and delivering outcomes within agreed timelines and budgets.
This role requires strong leadership capability, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of strategic project initiatives.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget tracking.
- Monitor project progress and performance, proactively identifying risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
- Drive effective communication and coordination across cross-functional teams.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and provide progress updates to senior leadership.
- Ensure adherence to established project management frameworks, standards, and governance processes.
- Mentor and coach junior project managers and project team members.
- Facilitate change management initiatives and support organisational transformation efforts.
- Evaluate project outcomes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or PRINCE2.
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects with budgets exceeding USD 1 million.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Trello, or similar platforms.
Preferred Skills
- PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification.
- Experience in logistics or supply chain transformation projects.
- Familiarity with risk management, governance, and quality assurance frameworks.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and operational standards within the logistics domain.
- Experience managing organisational change and business process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related discipline.
- Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 15 years of project management experience, including leading cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of business processes, organisational dynamics, and strategic programme delivery.
