Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer (m/f/d) OT to strengthen our Operational Technology capabilities within marine automation projects. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, securing, and maintaining OT infrastructure solutions across vessel projects, ensuring compliance with international maritime cybersecurity standards.

You will work closely with project teams, customers, surveyors, and classification societies to deliver secure and compliant systems throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and configure OT infrastructure including servers, hypervisors, and virtual machines

• Install, maintain, and optimize security controls across OT environments

• Identify vulnerabilities and resolve security-related issues proactively

• Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity standards such as IACS E22, E26/E27 and IEC 62443-3-3

• Participate in customer and classification audits to assess and document security control effectiveness

• Monitor system performance and prepare status and compliance reports

• Evaluate evolving cybersecurity trends and anticipate future security requirements within marine OT systems

• Support cross-functional project teams with secure system architecture and implementation guidance

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education and professional experience

• Solid hands-on experience with server infrastructure, hypervisors, and virtual machine environments

• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools, antivirus, and security software

• Strong understanding of networking technologies and OT/IT security principles

• Structured and systematic working style with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

• Proactive mindset with willingness to continuously expand technical knowledge

Experience within marine automation, navigation systems, or industrial OT environments and related communication protocols is considered an advantage.
