Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity for a seasoned steel trading professional to drive overseas sales growth and expand global business networks.

Responsibilities:

• Drive sales of flat steel products, including hot rolled coil, cold rolled coil, and galvanised steel, across overseas markets.
• Expand international business by identifying and developing new customers and market opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong business relationships with mills, customers, and key industry stakeholders.
• Execute business strategies set by management to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Proactively manage customer relationships to ensure needs and expectations are consistently met.
• Monitor market trends and competitive activity to identify new sales opportunities and enhance market positioning.
• Prepare sales reports, market analyses, and presentations for management review.
• Research, analyse, and provide recommendations on market opportunities to maximise revenue and profitability.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in steel merchandising and trading.
• Strong knowledge of flat steel products, including hot rolled coil, cold rolled coil, and galvanised steel.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience working in a multinational organisation.
• Established network of customers and industry contacts with a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth.
• Japanese language proficiency (At least conversational or higher) required for effective communication with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a results-driven mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required for business purposes.
