Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management
- Manage and develop a team of two, providing guidance, technical review,and professional coaching to drive high quality reporting output.
- Oversee workload allocation, review deliverables, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support Director in defining priorities and building capability within the Group
- Reporting function to meet increasing business and reporting demands.
Group Reporting and Statutory Deliverables
- Manage the preparation and consolidation of Group reporting deliverables for investor and management purposes, covering group Bid Trust, Hong Kong and Cayman Islands entities.
- Oversee statutory reporting obligations for assigned entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
- Provide analytical support on Group results, including variance analysis, audit schedules, and management insights.
- Lead month-end close activities, focusing on intercompany transactions, including funds flow, capital injections, and recharges, ensuring alignment and elimination accuracy across entities.
- Partner with Treasury and entity controllers to monitor and record intercompany loans, settlements, and related adjustments in the Group consolidation.
- Serve as key contact/interface between the Group team and Rest of World team (Singapore, Malaysia, India and Japan) to align reporting, consolidation, and audit timelines.
Technical Accounting, Policy & Internal Control
- Conduct accounting analysis on executed and complex transactions at the Group level, including acquisitions, restructuring, and financing arrangements.
- Lead or support Investment Properties (IP) fair value (FV) processes, coordinating with valuation specialists, auditors, and technical accounting advisors.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Group Accounting Policies, ensuring consistent interpretation and application across all jurisdictions.
- Provide technical support and documentation for ARC (Audit & Risk Committee) and Board papers relating to accounting judgements and policy decisions.
- Support Director in driving the internal controls on financial reporting initiatives.
Strategic Projects and Business Expansion
- Support business strategic projects and expansion initiatives from both technical accounting and operational readiness perspectives.
- Lead accounting assessments and reporting readiness for new market entries, legal entity setups, restructures, or acquisitions.
- Coordinate with jurisdictional finance teams, Finance Operations, Tax, FP&A, Legal, and Treasury to ensure accounting implications and operational requirements are fully aligned with Group standards.
- Act as a key bridge between project teams and Group Finance to embed accounting governance early in the expansion cycle.
Cross Functional Team Collaboration
- Partner closely with cross functional teams; Finance Operations, FP&A, Tax, Legal, Treasury, and regional Financial Control teams to drive alignment across deliverables.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, proactive-problem solving, and operational excellence within Finance
