Duration of Engagement: 12 months

Work Days & Hours:

• Monday – Thursday: 8:30 am – 6:00 pm
• Friday: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
• Lunch break: 1 hour

Salary: SGD 3,500 – 4,000 per month (for fresh degree holders; prior audit experience is an advantage; preference for local university graduates)

About the Role

MHA Finance Shared Services Centre (FSSC) aims to increase efficiency and enhance customer experience in the Ministry and Home Team Departments’ financial services.

You will be part of the Fixed Assets (FA) team, responsible for ensuring the fixed asset register is complete and compliant with prevailing policies, laws, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of period-end FA reports (e.g., Fixed Asset Stock-take report, Development Project-in-Progress (DPIP) report, and Consolidated Fixed Asset Schedule) for management, statutory reporting, and audit reviews. Review asset counts, perform FA reconciliations, and investigate discrepancies (e.g., add, retire, or rectify erroneous transactions reported by users or identified when reviewing expenditure).
• Review development expenditure to assess correct treatment for asset capitalisation before capitalising assets.
• Maintain excellence in FA processes by providing guidance, conducting training for HTDs, and implementing process improvements to strengthen governance and control.
• Participate in automation initiatives and process improvement projects (e.g., RPA bots, data analytics dashboards) to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

1. Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Computer Science

1. Experience: Prior experience in Audit is an advantage

• Meticulous, independent, and self-driven
• Strong accounting knowledge to assess correct treatment of development expenditures for asset capitalisation
• Excellent communication (written/verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage a wide spectrum of internal and external stakeholders

As part of the hiring process, candidates are required to complete the assessments and self-rate for Fixed Asset Test & Excel Test.  Only candidates who complete the test will be considered for interview.
