Data & AI Scientist

Role Overview

We are looking for a Data & AI Scientist to design and build cloud-native, scalable data and AI products. You will work within an AI development team exploring and applying state-of-the-art AI technologies to solve real-world industry challenges. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and technology partners to develop data-driven and AI-driven solutions that contribute to Singapore’s digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners, engineering teams, and industry partners across the full product lifecycle—from concept, design, prototyping, and acceptance testing to data curation, delivery, operationalisation, industry adoption, and product end-of-life.

• Evaluate the maturity, feasibility, and applicability of emerging AI technologies and research relevant to industry needs.

• Develop software components using microservices architecture.

• Contribute to Agile secure software development practices, including documentation of user requirements and software code throughout the development lifecycle.

• Design, implement, and validate AI/ML algorithms, ensuring requirements such as fairness, transparency, scalability, security, integration complexity, and cost efficiency are met.

• Produce thought leadership content including AI blogs and technical papers.

• Facilitate technology transfer to industry partners.

• Collaborate with research institutes and institutions of higher learning on AI initiatives.

Requirements

• Singapore Citizen

• Over 5 years of experience working in Data Science and AI projects

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
  

• Strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence, particularly Computer Vision (CV), Natural Language Processing (NLP), recommendation systems, and/or Synthetic AI.

• Understanding of modern AI research and production deployment, including mobile and IoT device environments.

• Strong programming skills in Python and C++.

• Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or Torch.

• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams with strong interpersonal skills.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
