Job Description

Overview

Our client is a contract manufacturing company supporting assembly and box-build projects for various customers. They are looking for an Accounts Coordinator / Account Executive to manage customer orders and coordinate closely with internal production teams to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Order Management

  • Receive and process customer orders for assembly or box-build projects
  • Communicate with clients on order status, delivery timelines, and updates
  • Follow up on customer enquiries, pricing requests, and quotations (with Sales support)
  • Handle minor issues and escalate complex matters when necessary

Internal Coordination

  • Liaise with internal departments including Production, QA, Procurement, and Shipping
  • Ensure production teams understand customer requirements such as specifications, BOM, and assembly instructions
  • Monitor work-in-progress and provide status updates to customers
  • Arrange delivery or collection schedules based on customer requirements

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of customer orders and any changes
  • Update internal ERP or order tracking systems with project progress
  • Prepare periodic reports on order status for management or clients
  • Ensure shipping and invoicing documentation is complete and accurate

Sales & Project Support

  • Support the Sales team with order follow-ups and quotations
  • Track production lead times and update Sales or Account Managers accordingly
  • Assist with planning or coordination for new projects when required

Requirements

  • Preferably 2–3 years of experience in customer service, order management, or coordination roles
  • Experience in manufacturing, contract manufacturing, or engineering environments is advantageous
  • Comfortable coordinating with multiple internal departments
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Familiarity with ERP or order tracking systems is a plus
