Job Description
Report to HOD of Quantity Surveyor
To perform the full spectrum of duties as a quantity surveyor
Responsible for direct execution of tendering processes, identify contract liabilities, preparation of quotation, obtaining all costing and specification of work/materials for pricing, prepare project costing sheet. Ensure competitive cost submit by suppliers/vendors/sub-contractors/contractors.
Verify and certify claims from suppliers/vendors and contractors. Prepare final accounts/progressive claims to clients/consultants.
Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities
1)
Call for quotation from suppliers and contractors and compare prices to ensure quotes are competitive.
2)
Prepare and submit progressive/final claims for payment to clients/consultants.
3)
Following up with consultants on payment certification and submit tax invoices within required time period. follow up with payment collections.
4)
Verify and certify suppliers/contractors claims.
5)
Handle all correspondences/documentation related to work scope.
6)
Sourcing and purchasing of materials and related products needed for production.
7)
Assist with procurement process with pm/fm and prepare procurement list.
8)
Attend site meeting or progress meeting with pm where require.
9)
Prepare project costing/budgetary sheet for approval.
10)
Manage project budget, provide value engineering to work scope and materials during
tenders and also during work progress.
11)
Negotiate and definitising of sub-contractors/suppliers agreements with favourable
terms and conditions migrating risks to project performance in terms of on-time
delivery and product quality.
12)
Gather all materials/specs for preparation of sample board submission.
13)
Attend site show round or tender briefing with pm/pd/sqs.
14)
Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to sqs/pd.
15)
Ensures all project tenders and quotation are submitted on time.
16)
Do awarding of contracts and preparation of contracts related documents.
17)
Control and manage project costing within specific budgetary.
18)
Submit weekly updates on projects budget, costing and claim status.
19)
Attend weekly and fortnightly meetings
20)
Evaluate contracts requirements and conditions migrating possible risks and to ensure
terms and conditions of the contracts are duly complied.
21)
Prepare quotations to client and liaise with respective project team for work schedule
to carry out assignment within given time frame(all outgoing quotations/correspondences will need to be vet through by immediate superior before sending out)
22)
Render support to project team with preparation of technical drawings(if require) materials quantities take off and cost estimation.
23)
To actively participate in ad hoc projects and other administrative duties
24)
Company reserves all rights to amend above scope of work as and when necessary.
