Job Summary

Prepare and analyze detailed cost estimates and quantity measurement for both pre- and post-contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze detailed cost estimates and quantity measurements to support accurate pre- and post-contract financial management
• Obtain quotations and negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms
• Manage contracts throughout project lifecycle to ensure compliance with agreed terms and mitigate cost risks
• Prepare costing proposals and submit accurate quotations to clients to support business development and tender success
• Follow up with vendors to update materials and equipment pricing, ensuring current and accurate cost data
• Liaise with clients to clarify tender scope of works and resolve related matters, facilitating smooth project execution
• Collaborate with Project Managers on project administration, contractual obligations, and cost impact assessments to support project delivery
• Assist in preparing comprehensive tender submission documents to meet client and regulatory requirements
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities that enhance project profitability
• Maintain organized filing and documentation systems to ensure accurate record-keeping and audit readiness

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree or professional qualification in M&E Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related construction discipline
• Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the electrical, M&E, or construction sectors
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, tendering processes, and cost management principles
• Good knowledge of materials and works for site usage to support accurate cost estimation and project planning
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively engage internal and external partners
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment to achieve project goals
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions
