Job Description

We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Purchaser to manage procurement activities and support accounts payable coordination. The role involves sourcing, cost control, supplier coordination, and ensuring accurate documentation to support smooth operations and timely payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, tools, equipment, and services based on approved requisitions.
• Obtain and compare quotations to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up on delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with suppliers on pricing, availability, lead time, and delivery matters.
• Work closely with Operations, Finance, and Warehouse teams to meet project requirements.
• Verify and match Goods Received Notes (GRN) against supplier invoices and Purchase Orders.
• Resolve discrepancies relating to quantity, pricing, or delivery with suppliers and internal teams.
• Prepare and submit weekly Accounts Payable (AP) ageing reports.
• Prepare bi-monthly supplier payment reports for management review and approval.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, GRN, and invoice records.
• Monitor stock levels and support inventory planning where required.
• Handle supplier disputes, discrepancies, and returns when necessary.
• Ensure procurement and AP-related activities comply with company policies and internal controls.
• Minimum 1–3 years of purchasing / procurement experience, preferably in construction, engineering, or facilities management.
• Familiar with PO–GRN–Invoice matching and basic accounts payable processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic ERP / accounting systems.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Good communication and coordination skills with internal teams and suppliers.
• Knowledge of local suppliers and market pricing is an advantage.
