Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate the programme of works
• Coordinate with Architect, Civil & Structural Engineers, Mechanical & Electrical Engineers and other consultants in supervision of the project to ensure compliance of drawings/specifications, approved work methods and authorities requirements
• Establish the risk management, time management, cost planning and management system for the construction activities
• Manage the Contractor on the construction of the project, including but not limited to monitoring submissions by Contractor and clearances from the consultants and relevant authorities
• Identify / solve site problems. To liaise and coordinate with all Contractors, consultants and HDB (including the chairing of regular meetings) to ensure timely resolution of all site problems
• Verify Contractor’s progress payment
• Supervise architectural works to achieve good workmanship
• Monitor acceptance and commissioning tests/inspections
• Respond to all emergency matters, such as fire and accidents, at the site during or off working hours

Requirements

• Possess an Architectural, Civil / Structural / Electrical / Mechanical /Environmental Engineering, Building Science, Project Management, Construction Management or other construction and engineering related degree
• The degree shall be recognised either by the respective Professional Bodies in Singapore or BCA (BOA, PEB, BCA)
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant post-graduate working experience in the building construction industry, preferably in HDB projects or 3 years of relevant post-graduate project management experience.
• Possess a Certificate of Competency in Earth Control Measures for Construction Site Personnel
• Familiar with the Microsoft Project Management software
• Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
• Good written and communication skills
