Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Intern (m/f/d) to join our Engineering team in Hamburg. In this role, you will support our engineers in the development and documentation of automation system projects. You will gain hands-on experience in industrial automation, testing procedures, and technical documentation while contributing to real-world maritime projects.

This internship offers an excellent opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a practical setting and learn from experienced professionals in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed test procedures based on functional design specifications
• Assist in documenting PLC logic sequences, fault-handling behavior, and system responses
• Collaborate closely with engineers to verify system functions and align documentation with control logic
• Support the preparation of clear and structured test documentation for factory and site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT)
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering documentation and project workflows

Key Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field
• Basic understanding of PLC logic, industrial control systems, or automation concepts
• Strong attention to detail and solid technical writing skills
• Ability to interpret and work with technical documentation such as P&IDs, I/O lists, and functional descriptions
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in English
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a dynamic engineering environment
