Job Responsibilities
The Project Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Review project submissions including specifications, drawings, test procedures, and method statements, and coordinate with the project team to ensure compliance with project requirement
Supervise on-site installation, testing and commissioning, system interfacing, integration testing, punch list/defect rectification, and handover activities to ensure work quality meets project standards.
- Coordinate with internal project teams, contractors, interfacing contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve site issues and clashes in accordance with project requirements.
- Support the project team in monitoring work schedules, tracking progress, reviewing updates, and reporting project status to ensure alignment with project timelines.
- Attend project, coordination, and interfacing meetings to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
Assist the project team in managing project-related activities to ensure successful delivery within the agreed timeline.
Qualifications & Requirements
Recognised Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechanical, or related discipline)
Relevant project management experience, including:
Minimum 3 years of experience in project coordination, site installation, testing, and commissioning of rail E&M systems within the Singapore transit environment.
Proven experience coordinating and interfacing with local transit stakeholders (e.g. railway or transit operators), system upgrades, or new system implementations at revenue stations.
Experience in Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system upgrade, relocation, or system migration projects is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, BIM, or similar drawing/design review tools.
Able to cope with flexible working hours, including night work or engineering hours when required.
Willingness to travel regularly between office and project sites.
Other Information
Contract Duration: 36 months
Work Location: Chai Chee, Bedok
Working Hours: Shifting schedule with night shift when needed (engineering hours)
Salary Range: SGD 5,000 – 6,500 (no bonus)
Working Arrangement: Full Onsite
