Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Programmes & Events Executive with a background in Mass Communication to provide maternity cover for the Assistant Manager (Prevention & Restoration) role. The incumbent will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing key programmes, outreach campaigns, and events that align with our mission to promote community awareness, empowerment, and support services. This role requires a balance of hands-on event management, stakeholder engagement, and communication strategy, ensuring programme continuity and visibility during the cover period.
Key Responsibilities
Programme & Event Coordination
- Plan, organize, and execute community programmes, workshops, and outreach events under the Prevention & Restoration pillars.
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth implementation and alignment with programme objectives.
- Oversee event logistics, vendor coordination, and budget tracking.
- Prepare post-event reports, feedback summaries, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Communication & Public Engagement
- Develop and execute communication materials (press releases, social media posts, and event collaterals) to enhance public engagement.
Stakeholder & Volunteer Management
- Maintain relationships with programme partners, sponsors, and vendors.
- Engage and coordinate volunteers for community activities and events.
- Support the documentation of partner deliverables and engagement outcomes.
- Engage with key community leaders, policymakers, non-profit partners, and funders to promote programme goals and secure support and funding.
- Negotiate with service providers and vendors to ensure high-quality resources are obtained at cost-effective prices.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Track project timelines, deliverables, and outcomes to ensure programme milestones are achieved.
- Prepare and submit progress updates, financial summaries, and impact reports to management.
Compliance and Reporting
- Oversee the compliance of programmes with all applicable laws, regulations, and grant/funding requirements.
- Develop comprehensive reports detailing programme progress, outcomes, and metrics for internal and external audiences, including regulatory bodies and funding agencies.
- Implement robust systems for data collection and analysis to ensure accurate reporting and inform ongoing programme adjustments
Innovation & Improvement
- Contribute creative ideas for improving programme design, event engagement, and outreach impact.
- Propose new approaches for digital storytelling and awareness campaigns leveraging your Mass Communication background.
Requirements
- Degree in Mass Communication, Events Management, or its equivalent. 
- At least 3 years of experience in programme coordination, events management, or public engagement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with event management tools or social media platforms.
- Creative thinker with attention to detail and the ability to work under tight timelines.
Contract Duration
6 months (Maternity Cover) – with potential for extension based on performance and organisational needs.
