Job Description
Position Overview:
The Sales Manager – Marine Lubricants is responsible for developing, managing, and strengthening relationships with strategic marine customers, including ship owners, ship management companies, and operators. The role focuses on driving profitable sales growth, ensuring excellent customer service, and providing technical and operational support to achieve business objectives across designated fleets and regions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Business Development
- Develop and implement account strategies and annual business plans aligned with company objectives.
 - Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and potential fleets.
 - Manage contract renewals, pricing discussions, and tender submissions.
 - Achieve assigned sales targets, margin goals, and collection objectives
 - Monitor account performance, market trends, and competitor activities to identify growth and risk areas.
 - Prepare periodic reports on sales performance, forecasts, and customer feedback.
 - Build and maintain strong relationships with technical, purchasing, and operations departments of key customers.
 - Coordinate with agents, distributors, and local supply teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and delivery.
 - Provide timely communication on product availability, vessel schedule updates, and supply feasibility.
 - Support customers with product recommendations, changeover guidance, and troubleshooting assistance.
 
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, Business Administration, or related field
 - Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales & Marketing.
 - Proven experience managing key accounts or fleet in Shipping industry.
 - Strong understanding of marine lubricant applications, product specifications, and operational challenges will be preferred.
 
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
 - Strong commercial and technical understanding of marine lubricants.
 - Customer-focused mindset with ability to balance service quality and profitability.
 - Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially MS Excel.
 - Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel internationally as required.
